The Friday Night 5! is a training race that I put on EVERY Friday evening at 5:00 p.m. This is an unofficial “race” that simply gives you an opportunity. Race against the clock, race against your friends, or simply enjoy a walk through the woods on a warm evening. Race is FREE but has no water stops, no official results, no aid stations, and no real rules. Just come and have fun!
Race is held at 5:00 pm at the Hidden Waters Preserve off County Club Road in Eustis. This is Lake County Water District property. No dogs or bikes allowed. You are welcome to start you race anytime or wait till the "official" start at 5pm. The race is two loops around the preserve. You can walk or run one loop if you choose. Kids are encouraged to join us! My son Colby is 8 and he is there every week and usually does one lap (sometimes he just plays in the sand).
Course is 100% off road and quite hilly. Traction is good with a few spots of sand. Course is 3.1 miles (5000 meters) Please join us for the fun!
Country Club Drive is off East Crooked Lake Rd. which is off 441 at the Flordia Choice Bank in Mount Dora. Race is held rain or shine.
